Busy busy boy

So much has happened since Valentine's Day for us...here's a recap.

Colin's diet changed suddenly, after daycare telling us he was hungry and after my supply dropped. I lost 4 pounds in a weekend after I got the plague, and it never seemed to recover after that point. We started solids, and we started supplementing with formula. At daycare, he gets a mix of the two, and at home, he nurses first, then gets a small bottle. It's led to a smelly change in our little guy, but he seems happier, and he is sleeping longer stretches. He's also starting to get a little chunkier. We tried sweet potatoes first.

He didn't dig them so much at first. We tried pears a few days later.

And we never looked back. He likes everything we have tried so far (green beans, peas, sweet potatoes on the second go around, carrots, pears, apples, bananas, and peaches). He eats some at daycare now, too, and he eats well there. He's all about the bottles now, too.

Physically, he's getting better at sitting, and he loves to stand.

We had a couple of rough days/nights during a short time frame when he was on oral steroids for a while. He was so antsy and fussy all of the time, and we had to battle him to sleep. We even busted out the swing for a night, just to get some sleep. However, the steroids are gone (though the wheezing is not), and our happy sweet boy is back.

Somewhere along the way, our little guy turned 6 months. WHAT? I had this kid half a year ago?? Not possible.

The same day he turned 6 months old, he went on his third plane ride. He went to Denver to visit Grandmom, Granddad, Aunt Jan, and Uncle Ryan. He had a great time; however we have very few pictures to document the trip. Well, pictures that aren't of Colin sleeping. He has been napping a lot lately, and he even napped two hours at daycare today, which is unheard of. I think they were surprised! Colin got to meet (and try to kick) his newest female cousin, and he flirted with everyone we met. He slept through church for the first time ever. He was great for almost the entire trip, minus a strange stint on Sunday night. 

As for us, Peter and I are completely overwhelmed with trying to keep up with our 5 jobs between us, as well as staying on top of schoolwork. I finished my first doctoral class, and we booked our first trip to Pittsburgh for school for me this coming summer. Trying to keep our heads above water!
