7 months old!

Just when we get a new routine figured out, something always happens.  Colin was getting into a nice routine with his bottles and solid foods.  Then his first tooth started coming in.  I won't complain much at all, because he honestly didn't seem too bothered by the tooth.  He continued to sleep through the night or only wake up at 3:30; he wasn't fussy; he didn't run a fever.  He just didn't want to eat, which made me anxious.  He pushed me away when nursing, and he would shove his bottles away.  We gave up on solids completely because that was a disaster, and we just wanted him to be hydrated.  He also was waking up every single morning covered in poop.  He had to have a bath every morning, and we had to change his sheets every morning.  He went through 2 outfits a day at daycare.  So much poop.  As of yesterday, he appears to be back to normal though.

We did our seven month pictures, which don't look much different than the 6 month pictures.  Except his sitting is MUCH better.  I am still a little concerned that he will topple over backward if he gets really distracted, but for the most part he doesn't need anyone to watch him.  He can ALMOST get from sitting into all 4's, but one of his legs invariably gets a little stuck.  Just yesterday he started pushing up into all 4's from his belly on his own and rocking back and forth, until now, we had been helping him up.  He is squirmy, squirmy, squirmy though, and he gets around by spinning himself in circles backward and forward.

Edited to add: At his 6 month appointment at the end of March, he weighed 18 pounds, 3 ounces (70th %ile) and was 28 and 5/8 inches long (95th %ile).

Okay now the pictures.

So many smiles.

This is what we see most of the time now.

 Captain Cutie for sure.

Mmm, marshmallows.

Our dapper dude in another 6 month photo

We edited this one for blue of his eyes and the hat

Happy Easter!
