Thanksgiving!

Colin's first Thanksgiving was a great experience. He recovered nicely from his shots on Monday, and he had a good day at daycare on Tuesday. He also did awesome on the flight to NC: slept, nursed, and hung out awake for a while. On the way home, he nursed, hung out, and then had a massive blowout diaper. Peter took him to change him in the on-board bathroom, and he was gone for a long time. When he finally came back, Colin looked like this:

There was too much poop to keep his clothes on. Then we hit turbulence, and we couldn't get his clothes out of our bag (which thankfully wasn't gate checked this time!) Finally we got him dressed, but it was pretty hilarious at the time. The descent seemed to bother him a little bit, and Peter and I both felt it a little more in our ears as well.

Anyway, at Thanksgiving, he had a chance to meet both of his cousins, his aunts and uncles, 2 great-aunts and a great-uncle, first cousin once removed, and a second cousin (whoa!) R is only about 7 weeks older that Colin, but it's amazing the difference in those 7 weeks. R is just a tiny bit "shorter" than Colin, but 4 pounds heavier. He's rolling all over the place and has awesome head control. He can also see much further distances than Colin. It's exciting to see what we have to look forward to in such a short period of time!

Some pictures of Colin and R:

And Peter and R look like they could be related somehow:

Colin with family members:

(Sorry guys! They just woke up after about 4 hours of sleep!)
Somehow I have no pictures of Colin with G & G.

We had a great time! We did a little Black Friday shopping, had pizza and milkshakes and watched Brave on Friday night, then ran a 5k on Saturday with the 20-30somethings participating. I ran the first lap, then pushed Colin in the stroller for a lap, and then finished the 5k with Peter. Suzie was the victor of the race, which Grandmom was thankful for so that all of her kids weren't holding their win over each other!

Now we're looking forward to Colin's 3 month photos on Saturday and I'm going to meet his future girlfriend on  Saturday.

  1. You don't have any pics of us because we took this weekend as a chance to NOT carry babies around! :)
